Dreamweaver for Ajax ...

Dreamweaver is one of the most powerful languages in website development. It is often considered as a special skill if the developer knows how to properly work with Dreamweaver. This language is developed by Adobe for years and they are still patronized by different developers around the world.

Developers often prefer Dreamweaver if they are planning to build highly interactive websites with rich interface. You should be able to build an online application with Dreamweaver and launch the website with a powerful the client side interface.

The behavior of Dreamweaver is now constantly being compared to JavaScript and more specifically, Ajax. Developers would often compare the interface of Dreamweaver to an Ajax based application and more often than not, the difference cannot be really distinguished for the untrained eye.

But the main difference of Ajax when compared to Dreamweaver is the availability of frameworks. In building an Ajax based application, you have an option in building through manual coding through JavaScript. The other option is to build an application with the help of a framework.

There are frameworks for an Ajax based application that will not even require developers to code a single line of JavaScript. Developing a website with the use of Dreamweaver will require you to manually build the application with the help of the programming language.

The similarity of Dreamweaver with Ajax is there and some developers are clamoring for the fusion of Dreamweaver with Ajax. Fusing these programming languages will result to a very powerful application with better interactivity compared to other programming language. These are client side programming languages that should be able to provide interaction with the user without any problem.

If you are waiting for Adobe to make the first move in developing this type of programming language, you are only waiting in vain. Adobe is already busy with their AIR which is their alternative for Ajax. It uses Dreamweaver which has a very important role in providing optimal user interface.

But that does not mean Dreamweaver will never be seen toe to toe with Ajax. An API that will help developers inject Dreamweaver to an Ajax based application has been created. This API was built by Chris Charlton, a well known programmer because of his expertise of Dreamweaver.

Mr. Charlton was able to build an API so that it could be built with select frameworks for an Ajax based application. Specifically the API of Dreamweaver was made for JQuery and Prototype.

On the other hand, the behavior of the API in these frameworks differs. The JQuery API is known to have the most tools from Dreamweaver. They could be easily built by an Ajax based application and Dreamweaver tools are available regular use and could be implemented in the client side along with the Ajax application.

The Prototype API however, is a little less developed because it will require the developer to code the application manually instead of simple tools. But development is still continuing and more APIs are coming for different frameworks.

It is a little bit challenging to integrate but if you already have basic knowledge of Dreamweaver and JavaScript, you should be able to effectively build an application with these tools.
