There is also an option for iPhone users to switch to the original Google site. However, Google claims that the Google for iPhone is faster compared to the regular Google homepage when run in iPhone. This is a welcomed addition for regular iPhone users as the search engine giant doesn’t only come as a search engine but as a developer of various tools that are popularly used worldwide. With Google for iPhone, users will now have an easy access to other online services of Google such as Gmail and Google Docs. The interface also provides easy switching between these services much like the homepage of Google. Using other online services of Google with the already available software installed in iPhone, users will have faster and better access to Google services. iPhone only becomes stronger and better because of this online services.

The key feature of Google for iPhone is that the website uses Ajax as a coding language. For years, Google has been the champion of this coding language, influencing other internet giants to change their gears towards this technology. Now, almost every development is geared towards Ajax or is already using this technology.

Even though it’s big news of Google and iPhone, it’s not the first time Google has optimized their services for iPhone. In fact, Google homepage for iPhone is their third online service specifically made for iPhone. The first two is Google Maps and YouTube.com, arguably the most popular video sharing site which is owned by Google. These two services are already available as native software in iPhone. Since iPhone doesn’t allow software installation in their device, it’s already a rare treat for iPhone users.
The only difference of the now optimized search engine of Google is its easy access to other online services for Google especially Gmail.

This news however is not just good for iPhone users. Although iPhone naturally has the support of Google because of its popularity, this service that was launched by Google marks the start of device-sensitive Google. Soon not only iPhone friendly search engine will be available but also for other smart phones.

iPhone’s friendliness with Ajax really works out in this transaction. Google, as the leader in this coding technique makes sure that access to the internet is easy so that everyone, even those that has weak internet access can use Google’s services. Mobile devices are normally weak in internet connection and iPhone is no different. However, because most of the services installed and available on the phone are predominantly Ajax based, there’s no problem in accessing these online services. Google on the other hand will be implementing an Ajax-based device-sensitive search engine to increase it’s already millions of users worldwide. Google will no longer be on your laptops and desktop computers, Google will now be in your mobile phone.
